We recently developed a bespoke solution using NetSuite Suitelets, that has transformed the inventory management system for one of our clients. In response to their need for a more streamlined receipt of items from inbound shipments, we introduced a custom Suitelet that has proven to be a significant addition to their operations.
This Suitelet, embedded within a dedicated custom page, automates the entire item receipt process, minimizing manual efforts and potential errors. Because now, when they receive inbound shipments, the Suitelet automatically triggers a script. One example of such Novupack enhancements is the Intercompany Management tool, enabling companies to initiate intercompany transactions to ensure a more automatic processing. A crucial part of this tool consists of a Suitelet that facilitates the customization of subsidiary preferences for bill routing. This Intercompany automation is thus allowing users to specify the destination subsidiary for billing purposes, once and for all.
Security and Control: Information Shared Externally
At Novutech, we have crafted Suitelets to serve as channels for secure information exchange beyond the borders of the NetSuite ERP system.
A example would be to distribute PDF invoices to external stakeholders who generally don’t need direct NetSuite access for any other part of their job.
By creating a Suitelet page with restricted access, you can enable users to view PDF invoices and facilitate communication through email. This action can generate and attach PDF invoices to emails, allowing users to share transaction details seamlessly. Moreover, you can incorporate approval or rejection functionality directly into the Suitelet, providing external users with the ability to respond to transactions without requiring a NetSuite user access license.
