Background
In my university years, I earned the degree Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Ateneo De Naga University (Philippines) in 2002.
During the first few years of my career, I worked in various industries such as banking, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), and Shared Services.
It was in 2007 that I decided to embark on a new journey by focusing on one specific industry which is Information Technology (IT). It was during that time that I had the chance to work for Oracle Netsuite as a Senior Technical Support Specialist.
It was also my first encounter with an ERP and a cloud-based system. At the start, it was mind boggling as there were a lot of things that I needed to understand, without any previous ERP knowledge or experience. As the months passed by, I began to learn lots of things and I was amazed by the efficiency, mobility, and scalability that NetSuite brings to the users. Since then, I began to appreciate and love this powerful system.
In the Spring of 2022, I took the bold decision to move to the Netherlands with my family, having successfully applied for a position as Senior Consultant in the NetSuite implementation team of Fast Four.
How I joined Novutech?
It was in February 2023 that I became part of the Novutech team following their acquisition of the Fast Four Netsuite Solution Provider team where I was a member of.
My role at Novutech is that of a Senior Consultant doing implementations, product support, and optimization jobs for new and / or existing customers.
What I like about working for Novutech is that it’s a multicultural team where I have the opportunity to share, learn, and evolve to be a better version of myself in both professional and personal aspects.
My journey as a Novutech team member
The first few months after the acquisition were a period of adjustments and getting to know the rest of the team, as they are located in multiple countries across Europe. We spent a fair bit of time getting to know who is doing what and their various approaches and habits when it comes to working life.
Fast forward to the start of 2024, I’m part of the Novutech team now for 9 months and I can say that my professional relationship with my colleagues has evolved and matured in a positive way. There is still room for improvement in terms of contacts with other team members but it’s a lot better than before and I am continuously trying to enhance this.
At Novutech, I’ve been involved in various project implementations for new customers and had the opportunity to work closely with my colleagues from other locations. From time to time, I work on some support and optimization jobs for our existing customers.
I also had the chance to mentor some new and junior colleagues who have recently joined the Netsuite space and to share with them the knowledge and best practices which I gained through my many years in the industry.
As a member of the team, I can say that all Novutechos work hard because we want to be the best in what we do. We want to deliver what we promise to our customers and maintain the company’s good name and integrity.
However, when we are not working, we also make sure that we have 100% pure fun together. This is exactly what we did e.g. during our annual company trip last October, in the vibrant city of Lisbon.
